The Rumble is a dynamic New Orleans-based band that fuses traditional Mardi Gras Indian culture and music with funk, brass band, jazz, and hip-hop influences. Formed in 2022 by seven former members of the Grammy-nominated band Cha Wa, the group is fronted by Second Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr. of the Golden Eagles tribe. The band is known for its energetic live performances, original songs, and a commitment to Black ownership and cultural representation within the New Orleans music scene. Their debut album, Live at the Maple Leaf, and their first studio album, Stories From The Battlefield, both earned Grammy nominations for Best Regional Roots Album.
