Movies at the Majestic: Rear Window
The Majestic Theatre presents Rear Window, a landmark of cinematic suspense that explores the ethics of voyeurism and the thin line between curiosity and intrusion. Adapted from Cornell Woolrich’s short story "It Had to Be Murder," the film follows professional photographer L.B. "Jeff" Jefferies (James Stewart), who is confined to a wheelchair in his Greenwich Village apartment during a sweltering summer heat wave. To pass the time, Jeff begins observing his neighbors through their open windows, only to become convinced that a traveling salesman across the courtyard has murdered his wife. Rated PG, although contains mature themes and suspenseful sequences. Concessions available. Doors open at 6:30PM.
