Are you interested in plants, pollinators, gardening, nature, or just want a free native plant? Then join our newest community science project at the Vermont Center for Ecostudies!

Our scientists are wondering whether non-local plants attract the same flower-visiting insects as local plants and you can help us answer this question by participating in a new research study. Starting in Spring 2025, participants will receive a free plant, establish them in their garden, watch them until they bloom, then conduct weekly 5-minute watches per plant to record the number and type of pollinators that visit while the plants are blooming.
