Jesse Taylor Band
Rock, pop, punk... we're not really sure. Highly introspective, Jesse Taylor pours her heart out into her lyrics and music. Hailing from Maine, Jesse moved to Burlington in 2012 to later find out she'd pursue music-- drawing inspiration from long days in various food service jobs and life with anxiety and depression. Taking notes from artists like Courtney Barnett and Regina Spektor, Taylor writes songs that mirror their passionate vocals and unapologetic style.
After performing as a solo artist for several years, Taylor formed the Jesse Taylor Band in 2017. Since 2019, Jesse has been joined by Nicholas Treis (lead guitar), and lan Morris Greenman (bass), and as of 2022, Carlton Yost (drums). This formidable foursome has performed around the Northeast, sharing the stage with the likes of Aubrey Haddard and Jocelyn & Chris, among others.
On New Year's Dar 2021, the group released "Ever-Changing". This five-song EP was fully crowd-funded and recorded at Plaid Dog Recording in Allston, Mass. Under the watchful eye (and ear) of producer Mike Davidson.
The band took home top honors at the 2021 Citizen Cider Battle of the Bands, locking in a yearlong residency at the Burlington, VT. hotspot and the quartet's song "Disaster” was named the Best Vermont Song of 2021 by County Tracks.
Bitter Sweet is a new rock and roll band formed by four passionate students at Vermont State University. Their genre expands from classic rock hits, modern rock, and their own originals.
