Join the Squam Lakes Association (SLA) on Saturday, November 8th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Belknap Woods for an adventure ecology exploring what wild NH residents do to survive winter. Mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish, and plants all have to use different strategies and adaptations to live through cold and lean months. Beautiful Belknap contains many habitats for hibernation to explore. Come learn about some fascinating survival methods while enjoying an easy 2 mile hike. We will meet at the Belknap Woods Parking Lot in Center Harbor at 9:45 am to fill out liability waivers and hit the trail at 10:00 am. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by adults. Registration is required for this free event.

The Adventure Ecology programs are presented by the LRCC AmeriCorps members at the SLA who perform important conservation work in support of the Association’s mission.
