Big Lazy, New York City’s gritty instrumental trio has flourished for over 20 years playing its singular brand of guitar noir from downtown New York clubs to the Opéra National de Lyon.

Big Lazy founder Stephen Ulrich is the composer for the HBO series Bored to Death.In 2023 Barbès Records released his solo album Music from This American Life, a collection of music he composed for the iconic radio program.
