Our Youth Education program meets every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., beginning September 3, 2024 for students ages 7 to 18 in grades 2+. Kitah Aleph (Grade 2) and Kitah Bet (Grade 3): These classes enable students to learn the basics of Hebrew letter recognition and decoding in order to begin to learn to read. Students will also learn about holiday observance, Tzedakah and Jewish living. Kita Gimel, Dalet, B’Nai Mitzvah and Confirmation (Grades 4 and up): Students start with building Hebrew reading skills, working up to leading prayer for our older students, as well as learning Jewish ethics, history and Judaica. Liturgical and Judaic knowledge and skills in preparation for becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
