A Time to Gather Stones
A World Premiere Presentation!
Written and Directed by George Kelley
You are summoned to witness the trial of Joseph Le page, the accused killer of Josie Langmaid, who was assaulted, raped, murdered, and dismembered, on November 25, 1875, as she was walking to school on Academy Road, in Pembroke, New Hampshire. This heinous crime places Le Page, a Canadian itinerant woodcutter, in an American courtroom. The Concord Monitor-Patriot, as well as newspapers up and down the East Coast have been offering conflicting opinions as to Le Page's guilt or innocence. The murder and the impending trial have produced a frenzy of emotions that threaten to throw the populace into a mob intent on revenge.
Against this backdrop, Attorneys Norris for the Defense, and Swenson for the Prosecution, duel inside the courtroom. Everyone in the community has been affected by this grisly murder, as Blind Justice weighs Le Page's guilt or innocence and threatens to fracture the community. A Time to Gather Stones, is an historical fictional account of the actual event.
Some descriptive language describing the murder may not be suitable for children.
