Young Doctor Pens Memoir Before His Death

Dr. Paul Kalanithi was nearing the end of his neurosurgery residency when he learned he’d contracted stage 4 metastatic lung cancer. Between his diagnosis and his death last year, he turned to writing about his life, and his memoir has just been published. His widow, Dr. Lucy Kalanithi, talked about his life with Here & Now’s Meghna Chakrabarti.
