Former NFL running back Ray Rice says he’s looking for another chance. He has apologized for knocking his then-fiancée unconscious in an elevator in an Atlantic City casino earlier this year, an act that eventually caused the league to suspend him indefinitely.
Rice appealed and an arbitrator overturned the suspension, meaning he’s now a free agent and could be signed by any NFL team. But given the drumbeat of stories this year about NFL players and domestic violence, will there be any takers?
Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson checks in on that with our sports analyst Mike Pesca, who also points us to what’s happening on the field this season, especially the play of Houston Texans’ defensive lineman J.J. Watt.
