Crossing East: The Legacy of Ing 'Doc' Hay

Producer Dmae Roberts presents the story 19th-century Chinese doctor Ing "Doc" Hay who left a lasting mark on an Oregon town.

He prospered at a time when many Chinese immigrants were being harassed, lynched and even massacred, founding a store that turned into a doctor's office that eventually became the center of a small but prosperous Chinese-American community.
