Man-Made Mudslide

Commentator Alan Sipporin says some of the responsibility for the devastation caused by the floods in the American West lies with humans. Mudslides happen--but when forested hillsides are clear cut, there is nothing to hold the water or the earth in place. When we think about the effects of logging, we should worry about more than owls and endangered creatures.
