River Dave Lidstone, who grew up in Maine, declined to say where he was living or provide a contact for the landowner.

The cabin in Canterbury that David "River Dave" Lidstone had lived in was destroyed by fire last summer.

Known as "River Dave," 81-year-old David Lidstone has lived in the woods of New Hampshire along the Merrimack River in a small cabin adorned with solar panels. He has grown his own food, cut his own firewood, and tended to his pets and chickens.
