The North Atlantic Treaty Organization met earlier this month in Chicago to talk about the alliance's future. After moderate success in Libya and as NATO forces withdraw from Afghanistan, we hear reports from Brussels, Kabul, and Washington about where NATO has come from and where it's going. Teri Schultz reports from Brussels and London on the lessons NATO can draw from its experience in Libya, and what it means for the organization going forward. Ray Suarez looks at the history of NATO from its origin as a counterweight to Soviet military might up to its more recent history in the former Yugoslavia, Libya, and Afghanistan. Correspondent Fareedoone Aryan talks with Ashraf Ghani, a former Afghan presidential candidate, and creator of one of Afghanistan's most successful development programs. The United States recently agreed to support Afghanistan for another ten years, even after NATO forces withdraw. And Ray Suarez discusses NATO's future with Justin Vaisse of the Brookings Institution and Charles Kupchan of the Council on Foreign Relations. Can NATO withstand economic and political pressures?
