Arditi joins RIPR after more than three decades as a reporter, including 28 years at the ProJo, where she has covered a variety of beats, most recently health care. A native of New York City, she graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in government and has worked as a staff writer for The Center for Investigative Reporting in Washington, D.C. and as a reporter for the former Holyoke Transcript-Telegram in Massachusetts.

Laurie “Elle” Finnegan started with NHPR in September 2025 as the Senior Director of Development and Revenue. Her roots are in broadcasting, beginning her career as a general assignment news reporter for WNHT TV 21 in Concord.  She joins us from the State of New Hampshire where she served as a staff educator in the Professional Development department at NH Hospital. Elle has held front line and leadership fundraising roles at St. Paul's School and Tabor Academy, as well as Director of Production Services at Concord Hospital. She earned her master's degree in Positive Organization Development at Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree in communication at Castleton University.

As a general assignment reporter, I cover a little bit of everything. I’ve interviewed senators and second graders alike. I particularly enjoy reporting on stories that exist at the intersection of more narrowly defined beats, such as the health impact on children of changing school meals policies, or how regulatory changes at the Public Utilities Commissions affect older people on fixed incomes.

I am an editor in NHPR’s newsroom, overseeing our coverage of health, youth & education. I have a passion for stories that help connect, inform, and empower people to be active participants in their community. I am interested in systems of power, and the space between how a policy is written and what it looks like in practice. I love audio journalism because it reaches people where they are: in their car, their kitchen, or outside shoveling snow.
