PSNH Crews Return After Working To Restore Power in NYC

Public Service of New Hampshire crews working to restore power to New York City residents returned to the Granite State on Sunday.

The PSNH crews worked on underground power lines in Queens and Brooklyn over the past week.

The two boroughs had experienced power outages as a result of damage caused by salt used to treat roads and sidewalks.

The workers from New Hampshire were part of a larger contingent from Northeast Utilities, the parent company of PSNH, to help with repairs in New York City.

That included workers from NSTAR, Connecticut Light and Power, and Western Massachusetts Electric Company.

These types of deployments are part of a mutual aid effort that often has crews from out of state coming to New Hampshire to help with repairs following damaging storms.
