Volunteer: Chamberlain Reynolds Trail Clean-up

Volunteer: Chamberlain Reynolds Trail Clean-up

Come join our LRCC Americorps members for a half day of trail work on March 11 from 9AM to 1PM at the Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest. We will work to clear the trail corridor of overhanging vegetation and any blow downs that have come down so far this winter. Volunteers will be pruning branches and helping us saw through any fallen trees obstructing the trail. Maintaining a clear path helps concentrate foot traffic onto the trail, reducing erosion and stress on the surrounding environment. Come out and join us for a great day out on the trail!

Minors must be accompanied by an adult, and registration is required for this event.

Location:

Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest

Volunteers should plan to meet at the Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest West Parking lot at 9 AM. Trail work will start from the west parking lot and take place through the trail network.

What to Bring:

Volunteers should come prepared with water, food, and appropriate clothing and gear for winter hiking. SLA can provide volunteers with tools, snowshoes and microspikes if needed. Please let us know ahead of time if you need any gear.
