ARTS: “Winds of Change” Lyford’s Art and Legacy

ARTS: “Winds of Change” Lyford’s Art and Legacy

While you might not immediately recognize the name Cabot Lyford, you’re likely to have seen a sculpture of his. Known for his monumental granite public work, Lyford’s pieces can be found in Portland, Ogunquit, Portsmouth, New Bedford, and more.

Please join the Portsmouth Historical Society for a discussion of the life, work, and legacy of artist Cabot Lyford. This roundtable panel will be moderated by our “Winds of Change” guest curator, Rachel Walls, and feature the insight of Bob Keyes, June LaCombe, Jim Levis, and Andreas von Huene, as they come together to share their thoughts on Lyford’s artistic influence.
