8th Annual Emerging Artist Festival with Ulysses Owens Jr. & Gen Y Ensemble

Friday & Saturday November 7-8, 2025

The Vermont Jazz Center presents a two-day celebration of youth jazz & mentorship. Friday evening from 5-8 pm at 118 Elliot, enjoy performances by high school & college ensembles as part of Gallery Walk.

Saturday at the Vermont Jazz Center, starting at 11am, features additional student showcases& a free educational clinic (4-5 pm) with three-time Grammy Award-winning drummer Ulysses Owens Jr.

The 7:30 pm evening concert with Owens & his powerhouse Generation Y Ensemble features:

Anthony Hervey – trumpet
Langston Hughes II – saxophones & flute
Liya Grigoryan – piano
Guillermo Lopez – bass
Ulysses Owens Jr. – drums
