4th Annual Antiracism Speaker Series Event
4th Annual Antiracism Speaker Series Event
The Antiracism Ministries Group (ARMg) of the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ is honored and excited to introduce Josephine “Jo” Porter, our Keynote selection for the Fourth Annual Harriet Ward Antiracism Speaker Series.
Ms. Porter’s scholarly accomplishments are in the field of Public Health (BS in Microbiology and Health Management Policy from UNH and a Masters in Public Health from Boston University). She is the former director University of New Hampshire's Institute for Health Policy and Practice. Today, she brings her expertise to the New Hampshire Center for Justice and Equity where, in her role Chief Strategy Officer, she advocates to “elevate and empower people of color in New Hampshire by fostering connections, changing systems, and meeting community needs to make a better Granite State where all belong.”
The ARMg couldn’t be more excited to hear from Ms. Porter. Our mission “to do Antiracism work as an expression of God’s love” has inspired us to bring speakers to your attention who reflect not only the diversity of our State, but also the complexity of racism as a social and moral issue. Ms. Porter’s talk, built upon years of experience and solid research, will enlighten you on the timely, critically important, yet largely ignored social concern: The Nexus of Health and Racism.
Please join us at 3PM on April 12th, 2026, at the Congregational Church of Amherst (11 Church St. Amherst, NH). Please register by following the QR code provided, or going to tinyurl.com/antiracismspkr
