The Interior Department said today that it will not list the greater sage grouse as endangered or threatened — something environmentalists wanted, but many in the energy and agriculture industry did not.

Here & Now‘s Robin Young talks with Dan Boyce, a reporter with Here & Now contributor Inside Energy, about the fight over whether to give federal protections to the sage grouse, and what today’s decision means for the iconic bird and for the economy in much of the West.
