Clock Ticks As Europe Awaits Greek Proposal

The deadline really is looming this time. European leaders are waiting for a last-minute plan from the Greek government that would keep the country in the eurozone.

Greece is expected to submit a new plan to restructure its deal with European creditors ahead of a final meeting of EU leaders this weekend. It’s unclear if Greece will be able to satisfy its creditors’ demands for tax and pension reform.

Here & Now‘s Jeremy Hobson speaks with Barbara Wesel, European correspondent for Deutsche Welle, about pressure on German Chancellor Angela Merkel and what sort of changes Greece is willing to make.
