Prosecution Rests In Aurora Mass Shooting Trial

The prosecution rested its case Friday in the Aurora theater shooting trial. James Holmes is accused of killing 12 people and wounding 70 more in the attack. He has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

The district attorney spent much of the last two months painstakingly recreating the night of the shooting through emotional testimony. The last day of their case was no different. Ben Markus from Here & Now’s contributor Colorado Public Radio reports.
