Preaching Politics From Tax-Exempt Pulpits

/

Alliance Defense Fund, a conservative Christian group, is pushing for church pastors to be able to endorse political candidates — while keeping their tax-exempt status.

IRS regulations prohibit tax-exempt organizations from engaging in partisan politics, but more than 30 churches have already endorsed candidates for president.

Guests:

Rev. Gus Booth, pastor of Warroad Community Church in Warroad, Minn.

Rev. Welton Gaddy, pastor of Northminister Church in Monroe, La., president of the Interfaith Alliance
