NHPR and The Music Hall present Writers on a New England Stage with romance author and screenwriter Jojo Moyes, recorded live at The Music Hall in Portsmouth.
Jojo Moyes published eight novels before hitting on the plucky character of Louisa Clark; the relentlessly cheery protagonist who falls in love with wealthy paraplegic Will in Me Before You. The book charmed millions of readers and was later adapted into a high-grossing film (also written by Moyes) starring Emilia Clark and Sam Claflin.
Her newest book, Still Me, explores themes of affluence and class as it follows Louisa Clark to a new job, and new life, working for a wealthy family in New York City.
