As 20 of the 25 Democratic presidential candidates prepare for the first debates, we talk with voters who are watching this primary season unfold and waiting for their first choice to emerge. Are they seeking someone with a more progressive or moderate agenda? Or someone who they believe can beat President Trump?
As of yesterday, a25th candidate joined the race (the five candidates who did not make it onto the debate stage did not meet DNC requirements this time around; but they'll have another chance in July. After that, the DNC has announced it will tighten standards.)
Last week, President Trump held his re-election kickoff rally in Florida last week, and he's spent some time attacking some of the candidates. So far, he has one opponent from his own party, former Massachusetts Governor William Weld. Meanwhile, there are months to go before the N.H. Primary and just about 500 days until the General Election.
