Spooky Folsom

Spooky Folsom
Halloween gets its groove on at Spooky Folsom, a haunted happening and beer garden on Friday, October 3 at Exeter’s Folsom Tavern, 164 Water Street. The popular event is a fundraiser for the Exeter Literary Festival, held annually the first weekend in April. Ghosts, goblins and human guests are encouraged to wear costumes. Spooky Folsom is 7-9:30 p.m; tickets are $35 each and are available at www.exeterlitfest.com. The event is for ages 21+ (IDs will be checked).
The evening includes spine-tingling surprises throughout the 18th century Folsom Tavern – eerie rooms filled with strange experiments, haunted histories, and chilling encounters. This year features a new immersive exhibit: the Fairy Collector’s Chamber. These aren’t the glittery creatures; they’re tricksters and tempters. Guests can also meet Madame Nightshade, who claims she can commune with the dead; capture a keepsake in the Zelda Tarot photo booth; dance to favorite Halloween tunes; and savor a cold brew in the backyard beer garden. Local beer from Czar’s Brewery will be available for purchase, as well as wine and sodas.
