Bach’s Lunch: Why Bother? Historical Instruments and Performing Old Music in the Modern Age

Bach’s Lunch: Why Bother? Historical Instruments and Performing Old Music in the Modern Age

Join CCMS faculty Natalie Talbot and Steven Lundahl for an exploration into historical performance practice and how to connect more fully with music of the past.

Dive into topics such as:

What is Historical Performance?
What can old instruments teach us about the music of their period?
How can we apply what we learn about articulation, ornamentation, key, and the instruments themselves when we play in the present?
Group participation is encouraged – Bring your instruments!

This event will be held in our historic Recital Hall. It is free of charge and open to the public, thanks in part to the generosity of the Walker Fund. Donations are appreciated.
