A History of Faith Communities in Dover, NH

A History of Faith Communities in Dover, NH

Speaker Tony McManus is a Dover native who got into the business of doing historical research after serving a term as Trustee of the Woodman Museum. A series of articles on Dover history appeared in Foster’s which were later collected in a book for Dover’s 400th Anniversary celebration. In the current year he has been the author of an available on-line series “Crimes Along the Cocheco”, providing a glimpse of the underside of the city’s past.

Beginning with the arrival of Europeans at Hilton Point in 1623, the program will provide a brief summary of Dover’s religious history, the various congregations, buildings, and impact on the city’s growth.
