MorganEve Swain, a Rhode Island singer and half of the band Brown Bird, recorded and finished an album, titled “Axis Mundi,” after her husband – and musical partner – Dave Lamb was diagnosed with leukemia and died last year.

Swain and Lamb were fixtures in the New England folk music scene. Swain spoke with Here & Now’s Meghna Chakrabarti about the album, beginning with the song she says she’s most proud of, “Bannerman.”
