Over the past week, five separate incidents of cannibalism have been reported, including the grisly story of Rudy Eugene, a man shot and killed by Miami Dade police when he refused to stop eating the face of a homeless man. While these stories have been hyped for their parallels to the pervasive zombie narrative in pop culture, there may be a more disturbing real world threat at work….a new family of drugs sold under the generic label of “bath salts.”
