The Oklahoma legislature has passed a bill making it a felony to perform an abortion, unless it is to save the life of the mother. If Governor Mary Fallin signs the bill, Oklahoma would become the first state in the nation to effectively ban abortion. The bill would punish doctors who provide abortions with a year or more in prison and revoke their medical license.
