The planning committee for the Rumney, NH Art Walk is excited to announce the participants in this year’s art walk taking place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, 1-4 pm.

The following artists and craftspeople will have their artwork displayed and for sale at the following locations: Studio at 11 Mill, Byron G Merrill Library, Rumney Baptist Church, Sole Track Brewing, Shaneware Pottery, and on the Rumney Town Common:

Step into the quiet beauty of small-town America in Thornton Wilder’s timeless masterpiece, Our Town. Set in the fictional village of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, the play intimately follows the lives of George Gibbs and Emily Webb as they journey from childhood companions to young lovers—through the joys of daily life, the tenderness of marriage, and the profound reflection brought by loss.

Tour guide Tom Kaufhold will take you through Portsmouth for this engaging 90-minute tour. You will pass by many beautiful historic sites and learn some important facts about Portsmouth LGBTQ+ people, places and events, including; how UNH and the NH Supreme Court impacted Portsmouth’s LGBTQ+ community; where the first gay and women’s bars were in Portsmouth; the restaurant credited with starting Portsmouth’s restaurant renaissance; and the church that supported two LGBTQ+ organizations for decades.

Tours are $15 for members, $20 for non-members, $15 for discounted groups (Children 5-18, Seniors 62+, Students, Portsmouth Residents), and free for children 5 and under.
All tours depart from Portsmouth Historical Society, 10 Middle Street, Portsmouth NH.

We are a non-auditioned, member driven, community choir. Rehearsals start August 17th and run every Sunday from 4-6:30pm at First Church Congregational, 63 South Main St, Rochester NH.

"Mistaken identity, mayhem, and music run rampant in this fast-paced, physical comedy adaptation of Goldoni’s commedia, The Servant of Two Masters.
Set in England’s swinging sixties, this uproarious farce follows the mixed fortunes of failed musician Francis Henshall. Down on his luck and forever hungry, Francis suddenly finds himself employed by two bosses—who can’t know about each other. One is a woman disguised as her recently deceased infamous criminal brother while attempting to extort her dead brother’s fiancée’s dad. The other boss is her brother’s murderer, aka her boyfriend, who is hiding from the police. Simple right?"

Auditions for "The Addams Family Musical", the “spooky” comical feast, will be held at the Community Players of Concord Studio, 435 Josiah Bartlett Road, Concord, NH on Sunday, August 17th at 5pm – 6pm for children (who appear to be 10 – 13 onstage) auditioning for Pugsley (boys with unchanged voices and girls who will play a boy are welcome) and 6- 9:30pm for adults and again Monday, August 18th from 6-9:30pm for adults. (Please make every effort to arrive at the start time.) This will NOT be a typical Players audition. Auditioners will be asked to register in advance by completing an on-line audition form prior to audition night. Those interested in auditioning are strongly encouraged to go to https://communityplayersofconcord.org/auditions-addams-family-musical, for audition requirements, the registration form, synopsis of show, character descriptions, audition sides, preferred musical audition pieces and an audition dance video. There will also be an Information Night, on August 11, from 6:30-7:30 at the Players Studio. "The Addams Family Musical" will be directed by Betsey Cox-Buteau, with musical direction by Michael Shaw and choreography by Allyson Thorpe It will be performed at the Concord City Auditorium on November 21 - 23.

Run club is an all inclusive group of runners and walkers that meet at Henniker Brewing Company every Wednesday from April to October (weather permitting). Typically the participants go out for anywhere from 1 - 5 miles and meet back at the brewery for a discounted pint! Dogs and strollers welcome!
