Tuesdays on the Terrace — High Strung Strummers
Tuesday, August 5, 2025, 5:30-7 PM

About High Strung Strummers:
The High Strung Strummers is a high-energy duo that specializes in the performance of old-time southern and midwestern fiddle music as well as the performance of Anglo-American ballads. Cathy Mason is an award-winning fiddle player and a popular fiddle instructor, and Sarah Jane Nelson is a multiple-instrumentalist and vocalist who loves to discover old songs and give them new life. A practicing folklorist, Nelson is the author of Ballad Hunting with Max Hunter: Stories of an Ozark Folksong Collector. Mason and Nelson have been particularly busy this season developing their “twin” fiddle repertoire!

About Tuesdays on the Terrace:
Enjoy acoustic music each Tuesday evening as various local musicians perform on the open-air stage on the Kennebunk Savings Terrace. Remember to bring lawn chairs or blankets, as the Museum has limited outdoor patio furniture and picnic tables.

Tickets:
Although tickets are available at the door, registering in advance allows Strawbery Banke to notify you if a concert needs to be canceled due to inclement weather.
