North Country Chamber Players - Mahler Symphony No. 4 , Sunday July 27, Rocks Estate, Bethlehem

North Country Chamber Players - Mahler Symphony No. 4 , Sunday July 27, Rocks Estate, Bethlehem

Stunning chamber version of Gustav MAHLER’s iconic masterpiece, based on his hauntingly beautiful song, “The Heavenly Life” featuring Metropolitan Opera soprano, Sara Heaton

Mahler's unique vision of childhood and Heaven begins with a magical opening of sleigh bells and staccato flute, which create an idyllic, dreamlike world. A masterful balance of simplicity and complexity, this work is considered his most accessible symphony. Full of subtle complexity, wit, and inventiveness, this version highlights its intimacy and clarity while still conveying the profound emotional and philosophical depth.

The North Country Chamber Players have adopted a “Pay-What-You-Wish” ticket pricing for concerts. Seating is limited, so attendees are asked to make free online reservations. The recommended ticket price is $25, payable at the door, but there is no minimum ticket price required for entry.
