Hopkinton Gallery Features Bead and Fiber Artists Morrison and Redmond-Scura

Concord artists Laura Morrison and Maureeen Redmond-Scura present a two-person show of bead and fiber works. Both artists asre well known for their involvement in NH art and community organizations, not only as creatives but also as curators, supporters, and leaders. "Stitched Together: Friendship, Feminism and Craft," runs now through February 8th. The Gallery is open Thursdays thru Sundays, 12 noon to 4 pm. Mixed-media fiber artist Morrison combines traditional techniques such as felting, embroidery, weaving, crochet and knitting to create sculptures, assemblages, installations, and wall works. She is past president of the National Women's Caucus for Art and wa the gallery director at Twiggs Gallery in Boscawen, NH. Bead Artist Redmond-Scura creates jewelry and three-dimentional works using glass beads and thread. She is a juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen.
