Author, screenwriter, and performer Laura Hankin will be at The Country Bookseller Friday, August 23 from 1pm to 3pm. Hankin is the author of several books which are beach read ready and book club approved. Her latest novel, “One-Star Romance” follows a struggling writer who keeps crossing paths with the man who gave her book a one-star review. Hankin crafts a sweet rom-com with depth and writes characters who are highly relatable.
Hankin’s previous books include “The Daydreams,” “A Special Place for Women,” and “Happy and You Know It.” She has TV/film projects in development, and her musical comedy has been featured in outlets like The Washington Post and The New York Times. She is based in Washington, DC, where she once fell off a treadmill twice in one day.
