Goffstown - Goffstown Main Street Program will host its Annual Uncommon Art on the Common and celebrating its 15th Anniversary, Saturday, August 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event features the works of over 45 area artists and artisans with booths along Main Street. Local shops and cafes will also be open for business throughout the day.

The art festival, designed to showcase the talent and creativity in the community, has been a successful part of summers in Goffstown for sixteen years. Our patrons will be able to interact with and purchase merchandise from top-notch painters, illustrators, photographers, woodworkers, jewelry artisans, metalworkers, authors, home décor crafters, ceramic makers, and potters.

A couple of popular events return this year. First, the popular Uncommon Bling project is running for its seventh year. Here, visitors can collect beads and handcrafted items at participating booths throughout the event to be strung on a necklace obtained from the Goffstown Main Street booth…a fun activity for all attendees. Then we have the Uncommon Art tent, containing donations from our artists and local businesses. The donations are raffled off by Uncommon Art on the Common to benefit the Goffstown Main Street Program. Tickets sell at 6 tickets for $5 or 1 ticket for $1.

Our kids craft tent will return again this year. While browsing through the art festival, remember to have your kids swing by the craft tent to create a neat memento. Also be sure to stop by the Goffstown High School tent to check out the amazing work by our high school students.
