'Heaven Knows What' Takes A Bleak Look At Heroin Addiction

The new movie “Heaven Knows What” centers around Harley, a young woman who’s addicted both to heroin and her relationship with another addict, Ilya. It’s based on the memoir of Arielle Holmes, who plays Harley in the film.

Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson talks to the filmmakers, Josh and Benny Safdie about the unusual approach they took to making this film.
