Cyber Vigilantes: Do-It-Yourself Justice Online

In October, a 13-year-old, Missouri girl committed suicide after she was bullied online by a neighborhood mother. It didn't take long for web users to post the name, address and phone number of the woman who was behind the harassment. Guests discuss vigilante-style justice in the digital age.

Guests:

Sarah Wells, blogger, identified a woman who harassed a teenager online

Daniel Solove, author of The Future of Reputation: Gossip, Rumor, and Privacy on the Internet; associate professor at George Washington University Law School

Rex Smith, editor of The Albany Times Union; author of the article "Juicy Details Not Always Newsworthy"
