Dan Tuohy | NHPR

Update: Elizabeth Warren released her funding plan for Medicare For All on Nov. 1. You can read that here.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren says she's working on a plan that will detail how to pay for her Medicare For All proposal.

The Democratic presidential candidate was interviewed on NHPR's 2020 Candidate Forum Series Wednesday morning.

Warren says voters should expect to see the specifics of her plan soon.

"It will talk about two things, both how much Medicare For All will cost, and how we can pay for it," Warren says. "So, it's hard, it's something I've been working on for a long time, but I'll have a plan for it soon.

Warren did not directly answer a question about whether taxes would go up for middle-class families under Medicare For All. She says she would not sign legislation if overall costs for middle-class families go up.
