This summer, The Gallery at WREN invites you to experience Colorful Edge of Soul, a vibrant exhibition by artists Robert Chapla and Valery Mahuchy, on view from July 4 to August 29. Uniting expressive color, layered textures, and emotional depth, the show explores how art connects us to the world—and ourselves.

Join us for the free opening reception on Friday, July 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and celebrate an exhibition that speaks from—and to—the soul.

Join the Squam Lakes Association (SLA) on Saturday, August 23rd for a guided hike of Five Finger Point along the shoreline of Squam Lake. Five Finger Point trail is an easy 2.7 mile loop trail with several beaches and waterfront views to explore. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch to enjoy by the water together and, weather permitting, go for a swim in the lake. We will meet at the parking lot located on Pinehurst Road in Holderness, NH, 0.7 miles from NH-113 and 70 yards beyond the entrance to Rockywold Deephaven Camps. We will begin at 10 AM and return around 1 PM.

This hike is open to all. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This route is an easy difficulty. Please bring appropriate gear for hiking, including footwear and clothing for the weather conditions. Participants should bring a lunch and enough water for a ~2 hour hike. Depending on weather, participants can swim on the beaches so bring swimsuits and towels if interested. The hike will be led by LRCC AmeriCorps member Danielle Dexter.

The SLA also offers other Adventure Ecology programs throughout the year. These free programs are open to the public and cover a variety of nature and conservation related topics. The Adventure Ecology programs are presented by the LRCC AmeriCorps members at the SLA who perform important conservation work in support of the Association’s mission.

The Squam Lakes Association is dedicated to conserving for public benefit the natural beauty, peaceful character and resources of the watershed. In collaboration with local and state partners the SLA promotes the protection, careful use and shared enjoyment of the lakes, mountains, forests, open spaces and wildlife of the Squam Lakes Region.

The 13th Annual NH Monarch Festival will be held on Saturday, August 23rd from 10am to 3pm at the Canterbury Shaker Village in Canterbury, NH. This family-friendly event will provide attendees with unique educational opportunities to learn all about the monarch butterfly, its life cycle, the importance of milkweed, and more! Various activities, presentations, and butterfly releases will be held throughout the day. Visitors will receive FREE seeds and tons of useful information. Tickets can be purchased at Shaker Village the day of the event. Mobile pet care provider announces grand opening at Bark in the Park Market and Expo in Concord, adds another new state-of-the-art mobile grooming spa

Woofie’s of Concord-Manchester will participate in Bark in the Park Market and Expo on August 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 33 Bow St., Concord, New Hampshire. It will offer an event-only “spaw” menu of tip-to-tail services for dogs for purchase, showcase one of its two state-of-the-art mobile spaws, and give away treats for furry friends and owners. It will also hold a free raffle for a $100 gift certificate good for a full grooming service. Leashed dogs are welcome.

New Hampton Historical Society's Museum was built in 1880 as an Adventist Christian Chapel and given to the Historical Society in 1965.
Our little museum features wonderful historical vignettes: a schoolhouse classroom; a parlor room; a bedroom; and displays of New Hampton's history. The museum is open to the public on Saturdays throughout the summer.

That's right - we're bringing our traveling circus just over the border to the Granite State and we know this event is going to be HUGE! You will find 80+ vintage vendors from all over New England wrapped around Via Toscana with booth after booth full of treasures galore. Don’t miss this gathering of greats bringing the best & baddest vintage finds to these historic grounds that used to be home to the Rockingham Park race track.

Art 3 Gallery is pleased to announce the first exhibit of the year titled “The Art of What’s Next” open now. What is the answer to “Where do we go from here?” This is a show that will invite both artists and viewers to consider the evolving nature of art and the changing world in which we live.
