Windham Swing Band Concert to Benefit the Andres Institute of Art

Windham Swing Band Concert to Benefit the Andres Institute of Art
Founded in 1998, the Windham Swing Band is a full 18-piece big band with saxophones, trombones, trumpets, bass, percussion and vocalist. The band is a collection of volunteer musicians from Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Their music brings to life the sounds of the big band greats from the 1920's to present. Come and enjoy the rhythms of the past with the music of Ellington, Shaw, Goodwin and others.
Through this concert series, regional music artists land a paid gig and the chance to expand their audience while providing the audience the opportunity to expand their musical horizons with acts including jazz, bluegrass, swing, classical and more. Whether a particular event is your favorite genre or a novel experience, each act is carefully chosen for their talent and the concert experience they provide.
The Andres Institute of Art is situated on a former ski hill with 140 acres, 12 miles of trails with over 100 sculptures nestled along the trails. The Park is open every day, dawn to dusk, free to the public. Fundraisers such as this support the park, the art and events such as our annual sculpture symposium each fall.
