NOT A WORD - new comedy presented by Community Players of Concord NH

A brand new stage comedy from NH writer-director Wallace Pineault, “NOT A WORD” takes place in a Hollywood rooming house in the days before the movies learned to talk. Blushing innocent Miriam unpacks her dreams of becoming the next Mary Pickford and gets swept up in a fly-by-night movie put together by a team of rag-tag eccentrics and Hollywood hopefuls – a project fueled by ego as much as talent. A crazed director with a suspicious accent, a vision-impaired cameraman and a fortune-telling makeup artist are just a few of the creatives whose shoe-string silent reaches comic pandemonium during a disastrous shoot on location. With Miriam’s big dream on the line, their all-or-nothing gamble on screen success brings a surprising twist ending in the final reel.
