Lawmakers in high-cost, high-tax blue states are looking for ways around the provision in the new Republican tax law that limits deductions on local taxes. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said last week he would sue the Trump administration over the tax law, and Democrats in other states are considering reclassifying local taxes as charitable deductions.
