NH Environmental Health Conference
The New Hampshire Environmental Health Conference (NHEHC) will be held on Thursday, October 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, NH. The event focuses on the relationship between people and their environment, and fostering healthy and safe communities by promoting sound policy that protects the health, well-being and quality of life in all communities throughout New Hampshire. The conference will open with a keynote address by Meghan Romano, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Epidemiology with Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine. Session topics include reducing exposure to PFAS, radon, lead, and other common contaminants in water, air, and soil. The closing panel will feature local success stories that have positively impacted environmental health in New Hampshire. The conference will include a student poster session and a resource room filled with information from presenters and invited programs on environmental health topics and solutions relevant to NH. The conference is designed for public health professionals, including health officers and educators, government or municipal officials and employees, environmentalists, students, and those who are generally interested in topics regarding how we are exposed to hazards and what we can do to identify and reduce those exposures.
