Protesters in the town of Oracle, Arizona, today will try to block a bus they believe will be transporting several dozen immigrant children to a local academy for troubled young people. Demonstrators in support of the children will be present as well.

Arizona is known for its strict “show me your papers” immigration law. Tens of thousands of Central American children, many of the unaccompanied, have recently crossed the U.S.-Mexico border and are being held in facilities around the country because of a law that prevents their immediate deportation.

From the Here & Now contributing station KJZZ and Fronteras Desk, Jude Joffe Block joins host Jeremy Hobson with details on the situation.
