Susan Doran
On-Air AnnouncerSusan's New Hampshire roots reach back to 1987, in the Lake Sunapee region. She has served as part of NHPR's part time announcing staff since 2022.
By education a librarian--by profession an information architect and archivist--she's been passionate about public and community radio since landing in front of the mic in college at WEOS, later volunteering at WMPG in Portland, Maine, and Radio Valencia in San Francisco. Additionally, in support of a documentary she's producing on the Altamont Free Concert of 1969, Susan took coursework in sound recording, editing, and audio engineering at San Francisco City College; and interviewing, recording, production, and documentary/storytelling classes from NPR's Kitchen Sisters.
