PSO Family Matinees Presents "Brandenburg and Beyond"

PSO Family Matinees Presents "Brandenburg and Beyond"

As part of the PSO’s ongoing mission to encourage the audiences and musicians of today and tomorrow, the PSO hosts “Family Matinees,” a series of chamber music concerts expressly geared towards families and youth.

Join New England-based group Brandenburg and Beyond for Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 featuring Adam Gallant on piccolo trumpet and Sarah Krebs on oboe. Directly after the concert, the PSO will welcome young audience members to join in an interactive and hands-on instrument demonstration.

About Brandenburg and Beyond

Brandenburg and Beyond is a newly formed baroque ensemble featuring a combination of flute, oboe, harpsichord, and strings. The ensemble performs classic baroque works as well as new music written in this century. The resident harpsichordist is a composer who frequently premiers new works specifically for our group.

The New England-based artists perform all over the world and hold music teaching and performance positions at various orchestras, colleges, and universities. They live in the greater Boston area with backgrounds from The New England Conservatory, Boston University, The University of Michigan, Manhattan School of Music, and The Longy School of Music.
