Teen Wilderness Adventures is introducing White Mountain Adventures to allow participants to learn and apply basic backpacking skills including map/compass, how to pack a backpack, and Leave No Trace (LNT) courses. Participants will meet up with certified rock-climbing guides from International Mountain Expeditions (IME) for a day of climbing at Square Ledge, located just above Pinkham Notch. Staff will cover safety, proper equipment, tying in, and basic climbing techniques. This trip culminates in a backpacking trip to AMC backcountry shelters to camp under the stars and experience the true backcountry setting of the White Mountains.
